If a client owns their own residence, options are endless. Take down a wall, design and install a new indoor or outdoor kitchen, build a room within room, remodel a master bath to custom specifications, window or door upgrade ~ whatever you can dream of, we can deliver.
Sometimes the changes a client can make in an apartment or condo seem limited....yet it's amazing what crown molding, a change of hardware, a new ceiling fan, or flooring can make.
Whether it's a replacement set of stairs, new ceiling fixtures, or demo and reconfiguration of interior spaces, we help local businesses make the most of their square footage.
A classic 1980's kitchen with oak cabinets and peninsula island was long out of date for these homeowners. The couple wanted a look that was fresh and luxurious, yet comfortable and contemporary.
The couple's dream kitchen is realized; with functional cabinet space that reaches the ceiling, no precious storage space is wasted. The large island allows the chef to move freely about the kitchen while interacting with family or guests seated at the island. The whole space is anchored by the dark cabinetry of the island, yet feels large and inviting from the use of quiet neutrals in the wall cabinetry, tile backsplash, and flooring choices.
This started out as a blank living room wall in the client's home.
Marble Ledger Rock Facade, Custom Mantel, and Gas Fireplace Insert have added warmth and elegance.
This addition brings a richness and depth to this room ~ the clients are thrilled!
This laundry room, though functional, was tired and in need of a pick-me-up. No one is inspired to complete chores in a worn-out, dreary area! Some simple upgrades will do the trick and make this laundry room a bright, easy, breezy place to be.
A butcher block counter is rustic chic, and the organic material is easy on the eyes. The counter adds much storage to the space and is an ample and tidy place to fold laundry. You'll notice that the water shut-offs in the first photo are no longer visible in the room, they are hidden behind a secret pop-out panel for easy access without being an eyesore. New front-loading appliances with more features make for easy tasks and a streamlined look, while the added feature of nickel gap-backed open shelving keeps often-used products within easy reach.
The ornate trim work and choppy feeling of this living room feature wall no longer served the client's tastes or needs.
A softer color palate and cleaner lines makes this a calming space to relax at the end of the day, or enjoy with family on the weekend. A gas fireplace insert was also added, and the TV moved above the mantel for easier viewing.
This 1980's Villa kitchen was not only dated, but closed-off from the rest of the house, with only a small pass-through for viewing the expansive lake outside the residence.
Everything in this space was removed, from the dark grouted tile, to the fluorescent light tray ceiling, to the appliances and dated cabinetry.
With the demolition of the wall replaced by a long peninsula, the whole space feels enormous and bright. The chef can interact with guests and family in the adjoining dining space as well as have an unobstructed view of the lake.
The wall above the new center island will showcase the client's artwork, highlighted by ample ceiling lighting in every part of the kitchen. Note, the original footprint of the kitchen did not have to change at all for this transformation.
What a beautiful, clean, inviting space to wake up to! New stainless appliances make for enjoyable time in the kitchen, and the reconfiguration of the entire layout led to greatly increased usable counter space. Cabinets reach to the ceiling for increased storage space as well. The previous drop ceiling and tray lighting was removed and the ceiling extended up to maximum height. Overall the result is a bright, spacious, calm space for everything from enjoying a quiet cup of coffee to cooking an entire holiday meal.
Functionally, this island works. However, the owner wasn't crazy about the tiered bar shelf that ran the length of the island. She desired an upgrade in the same footprint that made the counter the same height throughout, with a more modern look.
Though the style of cabinetry remained the same, the cabinets were replaced in a dark espresso finish, the bar shelf was removed in favor of a one-level quartz countertop, and features such as a trash pull out were added. The sink and faucet were upgraded for a cleaner, more modern look.
This master bath certainly wasn't lacking space, but the use of space was choppy and didn't focus on much-needed closed storage. In this first phase of the project, the tub and small floating vanities were removed.
The soaking tub and dual floating vanities were replaced by one long vanity with loads of storage and contemporary backlit his-and-hers mirrors. The undermount sinks now disappear into the countertop, leaving even more room and making for easy cleanup. What a luxurious place to get ready in the morning ~
Phase 2 ~ Again, this master bath did not lack space, but the owners felt that the shower window was outdated, the shower tile in need of upgrade, and the vanity area lacking proper storage.
Here, the one-shelf vanity with tiny drawer was replaced in favor of a large integrated pantry style set of cabinets. Everything private and in it's place. An organizer's dream!
The shower looks and feels completely different as a result of taking out the dated window and replacing it with a frameless, full view glass panel. Built-in niche and shaving ledge make for a more pleasant and tidy shower environment. The tile choice is soft and neutral, while the faucet handle near the shower entrance allows for easy-on and adjustable water temperature before stepping in.
